บันทึก เวลาและการเปลี่ยนแปลง : กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะ

Abstract

กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานภาพพิมพ์ชุด “บันทึก เวลาและการเปลี่ยนแปลง” แบ่งออกเป็น 2 วิธี วิธีแรกคือการค้นคว้าทางปรัชญาและความหมายของสนิม แม้ว่าคนทั่วไปมักจะมองว่าสนิมเป็น สิ่งเสื่อมโทรมที่สึกกร่อนหรือเป็นสิ่งรุกราน แต่ข้าพเจ้าก็ยังเห็นความงามของสนิม และคิดเชื่อมโยงไป สู่เรื่องสัจธรรม ความไม่จีรังที่เป็นแนวคิดในพุทธศาสนา วิธีที่สองคือการค้นคว้า ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ การศึกษา ออกซิเดชั่น (Oxidation) หรือกระบวนการเกิดสนิม ซึ่งมีทั้งการทดลอง สร้างสนิมบนโลหะและการควบคุม ความชื้น ทำให้สามารถคำนวณผลของขั้นตอนต่างๆ อย่างแน่ชัด เมื่อเสร็จสิ้นทั้งสองวิธีการ ข้าพเจ้าได้ สร้างสรรค์ผลงานโดยกระบวนการทางภาพพิมพ์โดยใช้เทคนิค ภาพพิมพ์โมโนพริ้นท์ (Monoprint) ผสมผสานกับเทคนิคคอลโลกราฟ (Collograph) ภาพพิมพ์ในชุดนี้เกิดขึ้นด้วยวิธีการดูดซับสีของสนิม จากแม่พิมพ์แผ่นเหล็กให้เกิดภาพบนกระดาษ

The creating process of a print series entitled ‘Memorandum - Time and Change’ can be divided into two parts. Part one focuses on the investigation into philosophy and meaning of rust. Although rust is generally viewed as a sign of deterioration and intrusion, I personally see its beauty as it reflects the truth of the Dharma. Impermanence is one of the Buddhist concepts. Part two is a scientific research exploring oxidation and a way to generate rust. I carried out an experiment which is creating rust on metal material and controlling humidity during that process. After these two parts completed, I then created artworks with a reference to a combination of mono print and collography techniques. This series of print works is, therefore, produced by the method of absorbing rust from metal plate. Ferruginous image appeared on paper is a result of this method.
