โคมไฟจากลายปลาบนเครื่องถ้วยสุโขทัย

Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการออกแบบเพื่อนำเสนอโคมไฟในรูปแบบใหม่ โดยมีแนวคิดจากการนำเอาลายปลาบนเครื่องถ้วยสุโขทัย ผสมผสานกับรูปทรงอิสระ และออกแบบโคมไฟแบบลอยตัวและโคมไฟแบติดผนัง นำไปใช้ตกแต่งอาคาร บ้านพักที่อยู่อาศัย ให้มีประโยชน์ใช้สอยสอดคล้องกับชีวิตและความต้องการของคนเราในปัจจุบัน ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ออกแบบประกอบด้วยโคมไฟจำนวน 6 รูปแบบได้แก่ โคมไฟแบบลอยตัว จำนวน 3 รูปแบบและโคมไฟแบบติดผนัง จำนวน 3 รูปแบบ ใช้เนื้อดินพอร์สเลน และขึ้นรูปด้วยวิธีการหล่อกลวง เผาเคลือบด้วยน้ำเคลือบเซลาดอน จากแหล่งผลิตบ้านเกาะน้อย อำเภอศรีสัชนาลัย จังหวัดสุโขทัย เผาที่อุณหภูมิ 1,250 องศา เซลเซียส บรรยากาศรีดักชั่น การออกแบบโคมไฟในครั้งนี้ เป็นการนำลวดลายปลาบนเครื่องถ้วยสุโขทัยที่มีในอดีต มาพัฒนาเป็นลายปลาบนโคมไฟแบบลอยตัว และโคมไฟแบบติดผนังเซรามิกส์ เพื่อเป็นการเผยแพร่ และรักษารูปแบบของลายปลาบนเครื่องถ้วยสุโขทัย ให้เป็นที่รู้จักมากขึ้น โดยออกแบบให้สอดคล้องกับประโยชน์ใช้สอยความต้องการ ของผู้บริโภคที่ใช้ตกแต่งอาคารบ้านเรือนแบบร่วมสมัย และเพื่อเพิ่มทางเลือกให้แก่ผู้บริโภคอีกทางหนึ่ง

The thesis is to design lamps which are inspired by fish-motif that is found on ceramic tableware made during Sukhothai era, together with a free form creation. Wall-mounted and on-table designs are presented in this work. The idea of the design is to decorate living spaces and halls to reflect needs of people who live in this changing-modern world. The product of this design comprises 6 forms which three are on-table style and the other three are wall-mounted. Material used in this creation was porcelain clay which was used to form the objects by slip casting technique. The leather-hard objects were coated with Celadon glaze - which was obtained from Baan Koh Noi, a village in Srisachanalai, Sukhothai. Temperature used in the firing process was 1,1250 degree Celsius with reduction atmosphere. The present work is to bring an inspiration of fish-motif designed in the ancient time out on both free form table and wall-mounted lamps. To preserve and to enhance these ancient designs this work is aimed to be used for contemporary home décor which is one of a possible alternatives for consumers.
