การประเมินการใช้พื้นที่อาคาร กรณีศึกษา : อาคารเรียนคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร

Abstract

งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้เป็นการทำการประเมินโครงการหลังการใช้งาน ( Post Occupancy Evaluation, POE ) ของอาคารคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วังท่าพระ ในเรื่องขนาดการใช้พื้นที่สำหรับการเรียนการสอน ภายหลังการปรับปรุงอาคาร เพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบกับมาตรฐานของพื้นที่ห้องเรียน และห้องปฏิบัติการ รวมถึงเพื่อศึกษาปัญหาที่พบและเสนอแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาต่าง ๆ ที่มี ทั้งเสนอแนวทางในการบริหารจัดการพื้นที่ได้เหมาะสม เพื่อรองรับการขยายตัวในอนาคต จากการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลของพื้นที่สำหรับการเรียนการสอน พบว่า 1. ผลการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบค่ามาตรฐานขนาดและพื้นที่ของห้องเรียน พบว่า มีห้องเรียนทั้งหมด 9 ห้อง ที่ไม่ได้ตามเกณฑ์มาตรฐานที่กำหนดไว้ (ห้องเรียน 7 ห้อง และห้องปฏิบัติการ 2 ห้อง) ซึ่งคิดเป็นสัดส่วน 50% ของห้องเรียนทั้งหมด 2. จากการศึกษาพบว่า ขนาดของพื้นที่ห้องเรียนและห้องปฏิบัติการ ส่วนใหญ่ไม่เพียงพอกับจำนวนของนักศึกษาที่ต้องการใช้พื้นที่จริง และไม่เหมาะสมกับการใช้งาน 3. ผลการเปรียบเทียบความถี่อัตราการใช้ห้องเรียน พบว่า ห้องเรียนมีการใช้งานที่ไม่คุ้มค่า ในแง่ของการใช้พื้นที่อาคาร ผลการศึกษานี้ แสดงให้เห็นปัญหาเรื่องพื้นที่ที่จำกัด และไม่เพียงพอต่อจำนวนนักศึกษา จากการศึกษาพบว่า แนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาเรื่องนี้ แบ่งออกเป็น 3 แนวทาง ได้แก่ 1. นโยบายการจัดการด้านการเรียนการสอน 2. นโยบายการจัดการด้านกายภาพ 3. นโยบายการจัดการด้านตารางเรียนตารางสอน ซึ่งสามารถนำมาใช้เป็นข้อมูลเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาเรื่องพื้นที่จำกัด และไม่เพียงพอต่อจำนวนนักศึกษา

This research aims to evaluate space utilization of the Faculty of Architecture’s building. Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is used as a tool to identify problems. Data are collected and analyzed from case studies that portray similar problems. Suitable standards for teaching and learning areas are collected from published papers and used as a tool to evaluate the suitability of current area usage in each university. Subsequently, space management tactics used in each institution are studied and later on used as suggestions for the Faculty of Architecture’s building space management strategies. The study has found that. 1. 50% of all the classroom in Architecture’s building are under set forth standards. 2. The size of the classroom and studio space, comparing to the number of students who actually use the space, is inadequate and inappropriate for usage. 3. The frequency rate of classrooms usage shows that almost a quarter of the classrooms in used are underutilized. The result of the study illustrates the problem that space is limited and insufficient for the numbers of students. Further study finds that the solutions to this issue can be divided into three management approaches: 1. Using a management policy in teaching and learning 2. Using a management policy in space utilization and 3. Using a management policy in teaching schedules.
