ภาพลักษณ์ผู้หญิงในอุดมคติ กรณีศึกษาผลงานจิตรกรรมของอาร์เทมีเซีย เจนติเลสคี

Abstract

การศึกษาเรื่องภาพลักษณ์ผู้หญิงในอุดมคติ กรณีศึกษาผลงานจิตรกรรมของอาร์เทมีเซีย เจนติเลสคี มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์รูปแบบเทคนิค และการถ่ายทอดภาพลักษณ์ผู้หญิงในอุดมคติ ที่ปรากฏในผลงาน ซึ่งมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับเหตุการณ์ในชีวิตเจนติเลสคี โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ศึกษาค้นคว้าข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับบริบททางสังคมของผู้หญิงในประวัติศาสตร์ตะวันตก ตัวละครผู้หญิงที่เป็น ตัวแทนของผู้หญิงในอุดมคติ และชีวประวัติของเจนติเลสคี เพื่อวิเคราะห์ผลงานจิตรกรรมที่ถ่ายทอด ภาพลักษณ์ผู้หญิงในอุดมคติซึ่งมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับเหตุการณ์ในชีวิตของอาร์เทมีเซีย เจนติเลสคี ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1610-1617 โดยคัดเลือดตัวอย่างผลงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเหตุการณ์ในชีวิตของเธอและ ปรากฏตัวละครผู้หญิงในอุดมคติ แบ่งกลุ่มตามเหตุการณ์ในชีวิตของเจนติเลสคีออกเป็น 3 หัวข้อ คือ 1. วิเคราะห์ผลงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการศึกษาศิลปะ 2. วิเคราะห์ผลงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเหตุการณ์ข่มขืน การพิจารณาคดีความ 3. วิเคราะห์ผลงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการคลอดบุตร การเป็นศิลปินอิสระ จากการศึกษาพบว่าผลงานจิตรกรรมของอาร์เทมีเซีย เจนติเลสคี สะท้อนภาพลักษณ์ของ ผู้หญิงในอุดมคติในประวัติศาสตร์ตะวันตกที่ต้องเป็นสตรีผู้มีคุณธรรม ศรัทธาในพระเจ้้า และมีการยึดติดกับความบริสุทธิ์ของผู้หญิง จนกลายเป็นมาตรฐานวัดคุณค่าทางศีลธรรมในสังคม อีกทั้งยัง มีการจำกัดบทบาทผู้หญิงให้เป็นแค่ภรรยา แม่ และลูกสาว โดยสิ่งเหล่านี้สอดคล้องกับชีวประวัติและ ผลงานจิตรกรรมของอาร์เทมีเซีย เจนติเลสคี ซึ่งเธอเป็นศิลปินหญิงคนสำคัญที่ได้รับการจารึกชื่อใน ประวัติศาสตร์ของยุคบาโรก เธอได้ก้าวข้ามกรอบความคิดอคติทางเพศและริเริ่มสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน จิตรกรรมที่สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ของตนเอง ถ่ายทอดผ่านประสบการณ์ ความรู้สึก และการต่อสู้ เพื่อแสดงสิทธิ์ของสตรีภายใต้อำนาจชายเป็นใหญ่

This study aims to explore the formats, techniques, and the expressions of ideal women appearing in the paintings by Artemisia Gentileschi related to her life events. The study is done through qualitative research investigating the information about social contexts of women in the history of the Western world, female characters as a representation of ideal women, and Gentileschi’s biography to analyze the works created in 1610-1617. Specifically, the works chosen are related to her life events and show ideal woman character. They are categorized, on the basis of her life events, into 3 topics as follows: 1. the works related to the study of art 2. the works related to the rape and trial 3. the works related to the childbirth and being an independent artist. According to the study, it is found that the paintings reflect ideal women in the history of the Western world where they were expected to be righteous, believe in God, and lean on virginity which socially were the moral standard. The roles of women were also restricted where they could merely be a wife, mother, and daughter. These matters are related to Gentileschi’s biography and her paintings. She was an essential artist whose name was inscribed in the history of the Baroque days, transcending anti-sexism and pioneering self-reflecting works conveyed through experience, feelings, and fight, to assert a right under phallocentrism.
