การสร้างความจริงจากสิ่งสมมติ

Abstract

ศิลปนิพนธ์เรื่องการสร้างความจริงจากสิ่งสมมติ มีวัตถุประสงค์จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อต้องการแสดงให้ เห็นถึงการปะทะกันระหว่างวัฒนธรรม ความเชื่อ และรสนิยมที่ได้รับอิทธิพลเข้ามาจากต่างชาติใน สังคมไทยปัจจุบัน รวมทั้งการสะท้อนมุมมองที่วัฒนธรรมต่าง ๆ ค่อย ๆ กลืนจนหลอมรวมเป็น วัฒนธรรมเดียวอย่างแนบเนียบผ่านสื่อ ทำให้สถานะของอัตลักษณ์ของค่านิยมตามขนบแบบเก่า เปลี่ยนแปลงไป สำรวจถึงความเชื่อมโยงกันของแต่ละวัฒนธรรม การปรับตัวเข้าหากันที่เกิดขึ้นใน สังคมไทย เพื่อสร้างบทสนทนาใหม่ระหว่างแต่ละวัฒนธรรมที่ปะทะเข้าหากัน เกิดเป็นมุมมองใหม่ที่ เกิดขึ้นต่อสังคมไทยในปัจจุบัน โดยศิลปนิพนธ์ชิ้นนี้นำเสนอผลงานผ่านเทคนิคทางจิตรกรรมโดยแสดงให้เห็นถึงฉากทัศน์ของ มุมมองสังคมไทยที่ถูกเปรียบเทียบและแทนค่าภาพลักษณ์ด้วย ของเล่น หุ่นนิ่ง ภาพถ่าย และภาพ พิกเซล ที่มีความเชื่อมโยงและสัมพันธ์กันระหว่างเนื้อหาที่เป็นวัฒนธรรมต่าง ๆ ตั้งแต่อดีตมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน

“Fusion or Friction? Foreign Influences among Thais” is aim to explore the collision of cultures, beliefs, and tastes that have been influenced by foreign elements within contemporary Thai society. It seeks to reflect on how these diverse cultural influences gradually blend and dissolve into one another, eventually forming a seemingly singular culture through the mediation of various forms of media. This cultural merging challenges and transforms traditional notions of identity and longstanding value systems. The work also examines the interconnectedness of different cultures and their adaptations within Thai society, creating a new dialogue between colliding cultural forces and offering fresh perspectives on contemporary Thai identity. The project presents a series of paintings that depict scenarios in which contemporary Thai society is portrayed through symbolic representations using toys, still-life figures, photographs, and pixelated images. These visual elements, drawn from both historical and modern cultural references, are interwoven to reveal the evolving relationships between diverse cultural narratives across time.
