การศึกษาวิเคราะห์หนังสือประทับตราสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว

Abstract

จุดมุ่งหมายของการศึกษานี้ เพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์หนังสือประทับตรา สมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว จำนวน 998 รายการ ซึ่งเก็บรักษาและให้บริการที่กลุ่มหนังสือตัวเขียนและจารึกสำนักหอสมุดแห่งชาติ การศึกษานี้มีเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบบันทึกข้อมูล ซึ่งได้มาจากการประยุกต์แนวคิดในการวิเคราะห์เอกสารจดหมายเหตุ และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา แนวคิดเรื่องการวิเคราะห์เอกสารจดหมายเหตุนำมาใช้วิเคราะห์ลักษณะและรูปแบบของหนังสือประทับตรา ทั้งลักษณะภายนอกอันได้แก่ สื่อ (วัสดุรองรับการบันทึก) การบันทึก ลักษณะอักษร และตราประทับ และลักษณะภายในอันได้แก่ ส่วนนำ ส่วนเนื้อหา และส่วนท้ายของหนังสือประทับตรา ผลการศึกษาพบว่าลักษณะภายนอกของหนังสือประทับตรามีวัสดุรองรับการบันทึกเป็นกระดาษเพลา บันทึกด้วยอักษรไทย ภาษาไทยและลายมือเขียน และมีการใช้เครื่องหมายในการบันทึก มีรูปแบบการบันทึกทั้งสิ้น 5 รูปแบบ ตราประทับที่พบทั้งหมดเป็นตราประทับเส้นชาด มีลายเป็นรูปเทวดา สัตว์หิมพานต์ หรือเป็นลวดลายไทย ซึ่งเป็นลักษณะเลียนธรรมชาติ เช่น ดอกบัว ดอกพุดตาน การประทับตรามีความสำคัญในการออกหนังสือใช้เพื่อรองรับความแท้จริงของหนังสือรับรองความถูกต้องของข้อมูล และใช้แสดงความรับผิดชอบของเจ้าของตราประทับ หรือผู้ออกหนังสือฉบับนั้น นอกจากนี้ที่ด้านหลังของหนังสือประทับตราบางรายการ พบการลงวันเดือนปีที่รับหนังสือ พร้อมระบุชื่อผู้ถือหนังสือมาส่ง และในบางรายการมีการบันทึกสรุปเรื่องเพื่อดำเนินการเพิ่มเติมอีกด้วย ส่วนลักษณะภายในของหนังสือประทับตรา ประกอบด้วย นามหรือตำแหน่งผู้ออกหนังสือ นามและตำแหน่งผู้รับ วันเดือนปีที่ออกหนังสือ ส่วนเนื้อหามีการใช้ความนำเรื่องหรือการอ้างอิง เรื่องเดิม การบรรยายเนื้อเรื่อง และสรุปสั่งการในตอนท้าย ผลการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาพบว่าสาระสำคัญของหนังสือประทับตราสามารถจำแนกได้ 6 ประเด็นเรื่อง คือ การเมืองการปกครอง เศรษฐกิจ การต่างประเทศ การยุติธรรม การทหาร และราชการอื่น ๆ

The objective of this thesis is to analyze 998 items of the Sealed Official Letters in The Reign of King Rama III, which have been preserved and on service at the Manuscripts and Inscriptions Sections, National Library of Thailand. The research tool in this study is documentary recording forms, applied from and analysis of form and content of the archival documents. The analysis includes both extrinsic forms, namely medium (recording material), records characters and seals, and intrinsic forms, namely introduction, text and conclusion. The result shows that the extrinsic form of the Sealed Official Letters had been written on Kradat Phlao, Thai traditional paper, with Thai scripts in handwritten and symbols. The Sealed Official Letters are divided into five different formats. All seals are found in red ink. Signifying the figures of deities, Himavan creatures or Thai drawing patterns imitating nature such as lotus and hibiscus flowers. The stamped seals were used for 1. certifying the authentication of the letter, 2. Certifying the accuracy of the information and 3. signifying the responsibility of the seals owner or person who issued such letters. Furthermore, at the back of some sealed letters are found the receiving date with the carrier’s name. In addition, a few sealed letters also include the letter summary for follow up. The intrinsic forms of the Sealed Official Letters consist of name or tittle of the person who issued the sealed letter, name or tittle of the recipient, and the issue date. The text of the Sealed Official Letters is composed of introduction or reference to prior correspondence, descriptions and the conclusion at the end. The content of the Sealed Official Letters can be classified as politics, economics, foreign affairs, legal justice, military and other government service issues.
