The aim of this study is to investigate on the effects of trade barriers on shrimp exporting from the perspectives of fisheries’ officer and shrimp farmers. The qualitative is introduced to the shrimp exporting sector to address the research objective. Data were collected using structured interview (33 respondents).
The results, analyzed through coding method, expressed the perspectives and reactions of both the fisheries’s officer and the shrimp farmers on the effects of trade barriers. The research findings provide guidance to exporting company, and government sector on how they should handle with the change created by the fisheries’s officer and the shrimp farmers in shrimp exporting industry. The implications and recommendations of this research are included.
