การศึกษาศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงในนวนิยายเขมรสมัยปัจจุบัน

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงในนวนิยายเขมร สมัยปัจจุบัน จำนวน 20 เรื่อง ที่มีการตีพิมพ์ระหว่างปี ค.ศ. 2004-2013 ในด้านวิธีการสร้างคำ ความหมายและสะท้อนในศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงของนักประพันธ์เขมรปัจจุบัน ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงในนวนิยายเขมรมีลักษณะเป็นคำแทนนาม คือ เป็นคำนามที่นำมาใช้เรียกแทนตัวบุคคล ผลการศึกษาค้นพบศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงในนวนิยายเขมรสมัยปัจจุบันทั้งหมด 139 คำ เกิดจากวิธีสร้างศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิง 4 ประเภท คือ ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงเป็นคำเดี่ยว 17 คำ ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่เป็นคำสมาส 34 คำ ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่เป็นคำซ้อน 27 คำ และศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่เป็นคำสะสม 61 คำ โดยผู้ประพันธ์นวนิยายเขมรสมัยปัจจุบันใช้ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่เป็นคำประสมมากที่สุด ผลการวิเคราะห์ความหมายและภาพสะท้อนของศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงในนวนิยายเขมรสมัยปัจจุบัน พบว่า ผู้ประพันธ์นวนิยายเขมรสมัยปัจจุบันใช้คำพ้องความหมาย คือ คำที่มีรูปต่างกันแต่มีความหมายคล้ายคลึงกันมาเป็นศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิง ผู้วิจัยสามารถแบ่งกลุ่มศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงตามโครงสร้างได้เป็น 2 ประเภทใหญ่ๆ คือ ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงแบบคำเดียว และศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่มีคำขยาย อีกทั้งผู้วิจัยยังสามารถแบ่งกลุ่มคำศัพท์ที่กำหนดลักษณะหรือสถานะที่นำมาประกอบให้เป็นศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงได้ 6 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่แสดงความหมายเป็นกลาง ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่แสดงความงาม ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่แสดงความอ่อนเยาว์ ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่แสดงความเป็นที่รัก ศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงที่เปรียบเทียบสิ่งมีค่า และศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิง ที่แสดงความสูงศักดิ์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความหมายของศัพท์เรียกผู้หญิงสามารถสะท้อนให้เห็นค่านิยม และทัศนคติของคนในสังคมเขมร ที่มีต่อสตรีเขมรได้ว่า สตรีที่ได้รับการยกย่องชื่นชมต้องเป็นผู้ที่มีรูปสมบัติและคุณสมบัติที่ดี โดยเฉพาะการมีความงดงามโดดเด่นและเป็นเลิศกว่าผู้หญิงทั่งไป

The purpose of this research is to analyze the terms used to refer to women in 20 modern Khmer novels, published between 2004-2013, in relation to methods of word formation, word meanings and the reflection of terms used for women by modern Khmer authors. Terms for women in modern Khmer novels are pro-forms used as substitutes for nouns. The result of the study found that there are in total 139 terms for women found in modern Khmer novels, derived from 4 groups of word formations, being; isolating words, 17 terms; Sanskrit samasa compounds, 34 terms; synonymous compounds, 27 terms; compound words, 61 terms, Of these, modern Khmer authors tend to use compound words the most frequently. From the result of the analysis of meaning and reflection of terms used for women in modern Khmer novels, it can be seen that modern Khmer authors normally use synonyms as terms for women. Moreover, the researcher divided terms for women into 2 large groups, which are: single words, and single words used together with modifiers, Furthermore, the researcher further divided words into another 6 groups based on characteristics or conditions used to refer to women, which are: words with neutral meaning, words indicating beauty, words indicating youth, words indicating endearment, words comparing value, and words indicating high honor. According to the study, the meanings of terms used can reflect popular culture and attitudes of people in Khmer society that women who are highly praised must be gorgeous, and especially be more beautiful than average women.
