คัชนาม : การศึกษาเชิงวิเคราะห์

Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์มุ่งที่จะศึกษาวิเคราะห์วรรณกรรมชาดกอีสานเรื่องคัขนาม ซึ่งเป็นวรรณกรรมเก่าแก่เรื่องหนึ่งในบรรดาวรรณกรรมท้องถิ่นอีสานทั้งหลาย ทั้งนี้ศึกษาวิเคราะห์จากต้นฉบับที่จารเรื่องนี้ไว้ในใบลานเป็นหนังสือผูก ด้วยอักษรพื้นเมืองอีสานทั้งสำนวนร้อยแก้วและสำนวนร้อยกรอง วิทยานิพนธ์นี้แบ่งออกเป็น 7 บท บทที่ 1 เป็นบทนำ บทที่ 2 กล่าวถึงความรู้พื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับวรรณกรรมชาดก เพื่อเป็นพื้นฐานในการศึกษาวิเคราะห์วรรณกรรมเรื่องคัชนามนี้ บทที่ 3 ว่าด้วยลักษณะตัวอักษรและอักขรวิธีที่ปรากฏในต้นฉบับใบลานที่ใช้เป็นข้อมูลในการศึกษาวิจัย ทั้งฉบับร้อยแก้วและฉบับร้อยกรอง บทที่ 4 ศึกษาเรื่องคัชนามตั้งแต่การเขียนชื่อเรื่อง ความเป็นมาของเรื่อง ลักษณะของเรื่อง จุดมุ่งหมายในการแต่ง ลักษณะการแต่ง ความนิยมในเรื่องคัชนามและเนื้อเรื่องย่อ บทที่ 5 เป็นบทวิเคราะห์เรื่องคัชนามตามแนวการศึกษาวิเคราะห์วรรณกรรมปัจจุบัน ซึ่งแบ่งวิเคราะห์เป็น 2 ลักษณะใหญ่คือ วิเคราะห์ส่วนประกอบของเรื่อง กับ วิเคราะห์คุณค่าที่สะท้อนจากเรื่อง บทที่ 6 เป็นการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบเรื่องคัชนาม ระหว่างฉบับสำนวนร้อยแก้วกับสำนวนฉบับร้อยกรอง ในด้านลักษณะการแต่ง เนื้อเรื่อง และการใช้ถ้อยคำโวหารในการแต่ง บทที่ 7 เป็นบทสุดท้าย สรุปและข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับการวิจัย.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the Gajanam, which is one of the oldest works in Northeastern Thai literature. The study was made using primary sources, namely palm leaves inscribed by hand in Northeastern Thai script. The leaves were fastened together in book form, one “volume” being the prose version, the other in poetry. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. Chapter one is an introduction. Chapter two deals with Northeastern Thai literature in general, and especially the JATAKA, which serves as a basis for the analytical study of the Gajanam. Chapter three describes the script and the method of writing used on the palm leaves. Chapter four is a detailed study of the Gajanam : its title, origin, characteristics, its purpose, the styles of its writing, its cultural role, and summeries of the contents. Chapter five is an attempt to describe the Gajanam in the terms of noderns critical analysis. Chapter six is a comparative study of prose and poetry versions of the Gajanam. Chapter seven is the conclusion, together with suggestions for research.
