Abstract

การเปลี่ยนแปลงพันธุกรรมเป็นหลักการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ต้นเหตุของการเปลี่ยนแปลงอาจเกิดขึ้นจากกลไกตามธรรมชาติที่มีปัจจัยกระตุ้นจากความเปลี่ยนแปลงของสิ่งแวดล้อม ทาให้สิ่งมีชีวิตเปลี่ยนแปลงพันธุกรรมเพื่อความอยู่รอดของเผ่าพันธุ์ ในทางการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปินจานวนไม่น้อยใช้เนื้อหานี้เป็นแรงบันดาลใจ เราพบเห็นงานสร้างสรรค์เหล่านั้นได้ในสื่อต่าง ๆ ทั้งในงานทัศนศิลป์ ภาพยนตร์และหนังสือ ศิลปินมักใช้จินตนาการของตนสร้างสรรค์ผลงานซึ่งสะท้อนถึงผลกระทบในหลายด้าน ทั้งยังให้แง่มุมทางความคิดแฝงความหมายที่ผู้ชมสามารถติดตามและคิดต่อได้ ทาให้ประเด็นของการเปลี่ยนแปลงพันธุกรรมยังคงเป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจอยู่เสมอ ข้าพเจ้าสนใจในประเด็นนี้และต้องการสร้างสรรค์ใหม่ในรูปแบบของข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้ามีความสนใจรูปทรงเรขาคณิต รูปทรงเรขาคณิตแทรกอยู่ในโครงสร้างของสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งพืชและสัตว์ ซึ่งอาจเห็นได้ชัดเจนหรือเล็กลงไปในระดับหน่วยย่อยพันธุกรรมที่มองไม่เห็นด้วยตาเปล่า รูปทรงเรขาคณิตที่เกาะกันเป็นโครงสร้าง สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าในธรรมชาติมีกฎหรือระเบียบ ข้าพเจ้าต้องการนาเรขาคณิตจากวัสดุสังเคราะห์ที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้นกับสิ่งที่มีอยู่ในธรรมชาติมาผสมผสานกัน โดยใช้ความคิดนี้เป็นพื้นฐานการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานและพัฒนาต่อในศิลปนิพนธ์ เพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงหนทางการอยู่ร่วมกันระหว่างสิ่งมีชีวิตและสิ่งสังเคราะห์โดยมนุษย์

Mutation is a scientific principle. The cause of mutation might be a natural system that has a stimulating factor from natural’s change, so the creature mutates for their survival. To create work, quite a lot of artists use this fact as an inspiration. These creative works can be seen in media: visual arts, movies and books. The artist usually uses imagination to create works that reflect an effect in many ways. Besides, it gives an aspect of thought that hides a meaning which gives some thought to the viewer. It made mutation issue always be an interesting one. I also interested in this issue and want to create it through this thesis with my style. I interested in geometric shapes. Geometric shapes mix in the creature’s structure, both plants and animals. It might be seen clearly or small like gene, which cannot be seen with naked eyes. Geometric shapes which are adhered to a structure shows that in nature has rules. I want to use geometric shapes from a synthetic material that made by human and things in nature combined together. Using this idea as a foundation to create a work and to progress in the thesis, in order to show the way creature and synthetic things can live together.
