รอยพระพุทธบาทในศิลปะร่วมสมัยไทย : กรณีศึกษา พิชัย นิรันต์ และ พัดยศ พุทธเจริญ

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่อง รอยพระพุทธบาทในศิลปะร่วมสมัยไทย กรณีศึกษา พิชัย นิรันต์ และพัดยศ พุทธ เจริญ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาแนวคิด รูปแบบ วิธีการสร้างสรรค์ และสัญลักษณ์ของรอยพระพุทธบาทที่ปรากฏในงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยไทย ให้เห็นถึงการสร้างความหมายของรอยพระพุทธบาทในความคิดของศิลปิน จากการศึกษาพบว่า ศิลปินทั้งสอง มีแนวคิด กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ และการสร้างความหมายของผลงานแตกต่างกัน โดย พิชัย นิรันต์ นำเสนอรอยพระพุทธบาทในแบบจิตรกรรมซึ่งนำรูปลักษณ์ของรอยพระพุทธบาทมาดัดแปลง พัฒนาและสร้างสรรค์ จนเกิดเป็นรูปแบบงานจิตรกรรมเฉพาะของตนเอง และ ไม่ได้ตีความเนื้อหาให้แตกต่างไปจากวัตถุประสงค์ของการสร้างรอยพระพุทธบาทแต่เดิม ส่วน พัดยศ พุทธเจริญ นำเสนอรอยพระพุทธบาทในรูปแบบศิลปะ Installation โดยนำพระพุทธบาทมาตีความ ถึงการย่างก้าวอย่างมีสติ รูปแบบรอยพระพุทธบาทที่ศิลปินทั้ง 2 ใช้มีความคล้ายคลึงกัน คือ นำรูปแบบดั้งเดิมมาปรับให้ร่วมสมัย และสามารถสื่อสารสิ่งที่ตนต้องการนำเสนอออกมาให้ได้มากที่สุด

The main objectives of the research The Buddha’s footprint in contemporary Thai art a case study of Pichai Nirand Patyos and Buddhacharoen are to study the concepts, styles, creativities and the symbols represented in the Buddha’s Footprints in contemporary Thai art. Furthermore, their works also express the meaning of the Buddha’s footprint from the artists’ perspectives. From the study, it demonstrates the differences of the concepts, creativities and the meanings between both artists. Pichai Nirand presents the painting of the Buddha’s footprint by altering developing and finely creating the art works. Though he is able to form his individual style and his works do not distort the original purpose of creating the traditional footprints. Patios Buddhacharoen presents the Buddha’s footprints through the art of installation inspired by the interpretation of the every conscious step. Both artists have a coherent style in adjusting between the original style and contemporary art in order to bring the best out of individuality.
