การจัดทำจรรยาบรรณของนักโหราศาสตร์ในสังคมไทย

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการณ์วิชาโหราศาสตร์ในสังคมไทยและนำเสนอแนวทางในการจัดทำจรรยาบรรณของนักโหราศาสตร์ในสังคมไทย โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ รวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารวิชาการและกึ่งวิชาการ ใช้การสัมภาษณ์แบบเป็นทางการ และการสัมภาษณ์แบบไม่เป็นทางการ การสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม และการสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักโหราศาสตร์ในสังคมไทยมี 2 ประเภท คือ นักโหราศาสตร์ที่พยากรณ์ด้วยหลักการโคจรของดวงดาวและหลักการสุ่มเลือกสัญลักษณ์ โหราศาสตร์มีบทบาทในการตัดสินใจดำเนินชีวิตและวัฒนธรรมความเป็นอยู่ของคนในสังคม การพยากรณ์มีรูปแบบที่หลากหลาย นอกจากการพยากรณ์กับนักโหราศาสตร์โดยตรงแล้วยังมีการพยากรณ์ผ่านสื่อต่าง ๆ ปัญหาที่พบในสังคมปัจจุบันคือ การพยากรณ์ไม่แม่น การหลอกลวง การเรียกร้องทรัพย์สินเพิ่มจากค่าบริการ ปัจจุบันสมาคมโหราศาสตร์ทำหน้าที่สินวิชาโหราศาสตร์และถ่ายทอดจรรยาบรรณนักโหราศาสตร์โดยมีจรรยากรรณที่ถ่ายทอดคือ 1. ห้ามทายเรื่องผัวเมียว่าชั่วหรือดี 2. ห้ามทายเรื่องการสิ้นอายุขัย 3. ห้ามทายเรื่องทารกว่าจะพึ่งพิงในอนาคตได้หรือไม่ และมีข้อควรปฏิบัติของนักโหราศาสตร์อีกหลายประการ แต่ปัจจุบันองค์กรโหราศาสตร์ที่มีอยู่หลายองค์กรยังไม่สามารถรวมตัวกันให้มีเอกภาพเหมือนองค์กรวิชาชีพอื่น ๆ ได้ จึงยังไม่มีมาตรการที่สามารถควบคุมสมาชิกอย่างแท้จริงได้ แนวทางที่จะทำให้เกิดจรรยาบรรณของนักโหราศาสตร์ได้ในอนาคต ต้องมาจากการรวมกลุ่มกันขององค์กรโหราศาสตร์ที่ตระหนักร่วมกันถึงความจำเป็นที่จะต้องมีจรรยาบรรณ และรวมกันกำหนดกฎระเบียบที่มีมาตรการควบคุมอย่างเป็นทางการ สามารถให้คุณให้โทษกับนักโหราศาสตร์ได้

The objective of this study was to explore the circumstance of Thai astrology and recommend appropriate approach to the formulation of the code of ethics for Thai astrologers. The research methodologies employed are qualitative study, documentary research of both academic and semi-academic documents, formal and informal interviews as well as participant and non-participant observation. The research findings reveal that there are two types of astrologers in Thai society : astrologers who predict by the orbit of the stars and those who predict from randomly selected symbol. Astrology plays significant roles in the decision-making process and the cultural life of Thai people. There is a large variety of astrology ; people seek face-to-face prediction and through social media. There are also problems of inaccurate and fraudulent predictions as well as astrologers overcharging for their services. Currently, there are a number of astrologers’ associations responsible for the teaching astrology and the transmission of appropriate astrologers’ conducts. These conducts, which are closest to the astrologers’ code of ethics, are the prohibitions on the following issues : 1) Suitability of spouses ; 2) Prediction of a person’s imminent death ; and 3) A newborn baby’s future prospects. The associations also passed on many recommended practices for astrologers. However, the existing astrologers’ associations have separate practices and, unlike other professional organizations, have on unity. For this reason, they have no real power or control over their members. Recommendations for the formulation of astrologer’s code of ethics in the future involve integration of astrologers’ associations with mutual recognition of the importance of a professional code of ethics for their members. These associations must join forces and agree on a uniform rules and regulations that can be enforced through formal control measures that can truly commend or punish member astrologers.
