วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยนี้คือเพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบของพื้นที่เปิดโล่งที่มีต่อความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมของคนในชุมชนแพร่งภูธร โดยทำการศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมของคนในชุมชนแพร่งภูธรซึ่งเป็นชุมชนที่มีลานเปิดโล่งอยู่กลางพื้นที่ชุมชน เพื่อใช้เป็นพื้นที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจและ ประกอบกิจกรรมร่วมกันของคนในชุมชน รวมทั้งศึกษาการใช้ประโยชน์จากพื้นที่เปิดโล่งดังกล่าวตลอดจนศึกษาความคิดเห็นของคนในชุมชนที่มีต่อลานอีกด้วย
ในการศึกษานี้ ผู้วิจัยใช้วิธีการศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มประชากรที่อยู่ในชุมชนแพร่งภูธร พร้อมทั้งใช้การสังเกตการณ์เพื่อเพิ่มความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูล โดยมีสมมติฐานว่า เมื่อมีพื้นที่เปิดโล่งแล้วคนในชุมชน จะใช้พื้นที่เปิดโล่งดังกล่าวเพื่อประกอบกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ และพื้นที่เปิดโล่งในชุมชนมีส่วนช่วยให้คนในชุมชนมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อกันมากขึ้น อันจะนำไปสู่ความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมที่ดี
ผลการวิเคราะห์ สรุปได้ว่า คนในชุมชนได้ใช้ลานดังกล่าวเป็นพื้นที่ในการประกอบกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ของคนในชุมชน อันได้แก่ กิจกรรมพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ ออกกกำลังกาย และกิจกรรมกลุ่มของชุมชน นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าคนในชุมชนมีการปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมที่ดีต่อกัน อันได้แก่ การรู้จักเพื่อนบ้าน การทักทายพูดคุยกัน และการแลกเปลี่ยนความช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกัน สำหรับความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมของคนในชุมชนซึ่งเป็นองค์ประกอบทางสังคมที่ลึกซึ้งกว่านั้น พบว่าคนในชุมชนมีความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมที่ดี อันได้แก่ ความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชน ความรู้สึกว่าชุมชนเป็นบ้านของตน ความรู้สึกปลอดภัยเมื่ออยู่ในชุมชน และความไว้วางใจเพื่อนบ้าน
จึงสามารถสรุปได้ว่าเมื่อมีพื้นที่เปิดโล่งแล้ว คนในชุมชนจะใช้พื้นที่เปิดโล่งดังกล่าวเพื่อ ประกอบกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ และพื้นที่เปิดโล่งในชุมชนมีส่วนช่วยให้คนในชุมชนมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อกันมากขึ้น โดยพื้นที่เปิดโล่งช่วยสร้างโอกาสทางกายภาพให้คนในชุมชนแพร่งภูธร ได้มีการปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อกัน อันจะนำไปสู่ความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมที่ดีได้
The purpose of this research is to study the social Impact of the Prang Pu-Thorn open space. The research focuses on social relationships of residents in the Prang Pu-Thorn community, in which an open space is centralized. The open space, used as a neighborhood park and gathering place among residents, is also investigated for its real usages and residents' opinions on it.
The research methodology is a triangulation method which includes document research, questionnaire interview, and observation in order to increase its reliability. The research hypotheses are that given the availability of the open space, residents will use it for their out-of-door activities, and that residents in this community will have high social Interactions which will in turn lead to a good social relationship among residents.
The result reveals that most residents are satisfied with the open space and have used it for various activities such as leisure, exercise, and other group activities. In addition, residents in this community also have high social interactions such as knowing neighbors, short-period interaction among acquaintances, and exchanging help among neighbors. Finally, result shows that residents also have good social relationships such as sense of belonging to the community, sense of being home, safety, and sense of trust among residents.
In conclusion, residents in this community use Prang Pu-Thorn open space for their out-of-door activities and the open space also plays a role in enhancing social interactions among residents. Thus, by providing a physical space for activities, it has enhanced opportunities for interactions among residents which could potentially lead to a good social relationship in the community.
