ศูนย์มอญศึกษา ชุมชนมอญบ้านม่วง จังหวัดราชบุรี

Abstract

ชุมชนมอญบ้านม่วง จังหวัดราชบุรีมีมาตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยากลาง ผู้คนในชุมชนได้สืบทอดวัฒนธรรมประเพณีมอญตั้งแต่อดีตจวบจนปัจจุบันโดยผ่านการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนจากวัดม่วงเป็นสำคัญวัดม่วงเป็นวัดประจำชุมชนซึ่งถือได้ว่าเป็นคลังวิทยาของชาวบ้าน มีการสอนภาษามอญ มีการทำพิธีกรรมศาสนาโดยใช้บทสวดเป็นภาษามอญ และเป็นที่รวบรวมวัตถุทางวัฒนธรรมไว้มากมายโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง คัมภีร์ใบลานอายุ345 ปี ปัจจุบันวัดม่วงเป็นที่ตั้งของพิพิธภัณฑ์พื้นบ้านวัดม่วงด้วยซึ่งใช้เป็นสถานที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับชุมชนและท้องถิ่น สำหรับการศึกษาออกแบบโครงการศูนย์มอญศึกษาวัดม่วง จังหวัดราชบุรีนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อขยายเนื้อหาเพิ่มเติมของพิพิธภัณฑ์พื้นบ้านวัดม่วงที่มีอยู่แล้วโดยมุ่งไปที่เนื้อหาทางประวัติศาสตร์สังคมวัฒนธรรมชนชาติมอญและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างชาวมอญกับชาวไทยเป็นหลัก ทั้งยังมุ่งหมายให้เป็นแหล่งรวบรวมข้อมูลและเผยแพร่ความรู้และวัฒนธรรมของชนชาติมอญ ทั้งนี้การศึกษานี้เป็นไปโดยคำนึงถึงการเคารพต่อวัฒนธรรมชุมชนเป็นสำคัญ แนวคิดการศึกษาออกแบบหลักเป็นการอุปมาเปรียบเทียบความสัมพันธ์ทางพิกัดภูมิศาสตร์ของตำแหน่งที่ตั้งเมืองมอญเดิมในพม่าตอนล่างกับชุมชนมอญบ้านม่วง และพิพิธภัณฑ์พื้นบ้านวัดม่วงกับตำแหน่งที่ตั้งโครงการ ในส่วนรูปแบบลักษณะโครงการเป็นไปตามการตีความในศิลปะสถาปัตยกรรมมอญในอดีตทั้งที่ปรากฏอยู่ในไทยและในประเทศพม่าตอนล่างจากการศึกษาพบว่า การกำหนดเนื้อหา แนวคิดและรูปแบบของสถาปัตยกรรมต้องคำนึงถึงวัฒนธรรมชุมชนเป็นสำคัญโครงการจึงจักสามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของชุมชนและสะท้อนลักษณะเฉพาะชุมชนได้อย่างแท้จริง

Mon BannMuang community in Rajchaburi Province has been residing sine in the middle Ayudhaya era. People in the community had had culture and tradition inherit form their ancestors until their generation today through the patronage of Wat Muang significantly Wat Muang is considered the temple Of community or academic storage of people in community Mon language and original rites have been descended with the recitation in Mon language as well as the cultural material were collected especially 345 years old palm leaf verse Today Wat BannMuang situated with local museum that tells the stories concerning people and local tales. For the study to design Mon Education Center Project of Wat Muang in Rajchabun has its main objective to extend the existed original essence in Wat BannMuang to get through its history culture and society of original Mon as well as the relationship between Mon and Thai primarily This study however is aiming to the respect of culture in community as well Concept of the study in the main design is an analogue of relation of geographic position of the location of original Mon town in lower Burmese country and Wat BannMuang and Wat BannMuang local and the project location On the project characteristic it is the interpretation of Mon original architectural arts existed in Thailand and lower Burmese country found form the study that-definition of context concept and style of architecture must be considered greatly in community culture the project therefore responds to the requirement of community and reflect the particular characteristic of community accordingly.
