การใช้พื้นที่ในสมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ตอนปลายที่แหล่งขุดค้นในบริเวณปราสาทพนมวัน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาจำแนกสมัยทางวัฒนธรรมในอดีตของมนุษย์ที่ปรากฏขึ้นในแหล่งโบราณคดี โดยการเก็บข้อมูลจากการขุดค้นทางโบราณคดีและศึกษาประมวลหลักฐานที่ได้จากการขุดค้นตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2533 เพื่อศึกษาประเภท ปริมาณความหนาแน่น ตำแหน่งของหลักฐานและความแตกต่างของหลักฐานแต่ละประเภท โดยทำการวิเคราะห์ตามคุณลักษณะต่างๆ ที่ปรากฏ ร่วมกับการศึกษาข้อมูลที่ได้จากแหล่งโบราณคดีที่อยู่ใกล้เคียงเพื่อเปรียบเทียบรูปแบบ ประเภท และระยะเวลาการปรากฏหลักฐานขึ้น ผลการศึกษาวิเคราะห์หลักฐานเชิงคุณภาพและเชิงปริมาณ รวมถึงการศึกษาเชิงเปรียบเทียบสามารถสรุปได้ว่า แหล่งโบราณคดีแห่งนี้มีการอยู่อาศัยต่อเนื่องมาเป็นระยะเวลานานซึ่งสามารถจำแนกสมัยทางวัฒนธรรมได้เป็น 4 สมัย คือ สมัยสำริดในช่วงก่อน 370 ปี ก่อนคริสต์ศักราช สมัยเหล็ก ประมาณ 370 ปีก่อนคริสต์ศักราช ถึง ค.ศ. 230 สมัยพุทธศตวรรษที่ 15 และสมัยพุทธศตวรรษที่ 16-17 และสามารถจำแนกประเภทการใช้พื้นที่ได้เป็น 2 ประเภทหลัก คือ การใช้พื้นที่เป็นแหล่งฝังศพในสมัยสำริดถึงสมัยเหล็ก และการใช้พื้นที่เป็นศาสนาสถานในวัฒนธรรมเขมร

The objectives of this research are following firstly to study a historical background of the site; secondly to establish the cultural sequences and the patterns of spatial occupations through time and finally to compare the results of this research with the archaeological sites found in the upper Mun Valley based on the archaeological evidence from the excavations between 1990 and 1993 this study analyzed the evidence qualitatively and quantitatively in order to examine the continuity of occupations and spatial relationships between the excavation units In sum it could be concluded that the site was first occupied and used as a burial site by the bronze age population prior to 370 BC and continuously used until the Iron age dating around 370 BC-230 AD Later the site was modified and changed its function as a sanctuary by the “Khmer” during the 10 century AD. And 11-12 century AD.
