Abstract

จุดประสงค์ของวิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ก็คือ การส่งเสริมการใช้การขนส่งทางน้ำโดยการปรับปรุงจุดต่อเชื่อมระหว่างการขนส่งทางบกและการขนส่งทางน้ำ ซึ่งเป็นวิธีหนึ่งที่จะช่วยบรรเทาความรุนแรงของปัญหาการจราจรในกรุงเทพมหานคร ส่วนแรกของวิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้อธิบายองค์ประกอบที่มีอิทธิพลต่อปัญหาการจราจรในกรุงเทพมหานคร และแสดงแนวความคิดในการแก้ปัญหา ส่วนที่สองอธิบายสภาพปัจจุบันของการขนส่งทางน้ำในกรุงเทพมหานครและแสดงแนวความคิดในการปรับปรุงการขนส่งทางน้ำ แนวความคิดประการหนึ่งในหลายความคิดก็คือ การปรับปรุงจุดต่อเชื่อมระหว่างการขนส่งทางบกและการขนส่งทางน้ำ ส่วนที่สามเป็นการวางแนวทางการออกแบบปรับปรุงจุดต่อเชื่อม ท้ายที่สุด ได้เลือกจุดต่อเชื่อมบางแห่งเพื่อเป็นตัวอย่างในการออกแบบปรับปรุงให้ดีขึ้น

The purpose of this thesis is an attempt to improve the connection point between road transport and water transport in order to promote the use of water transport. This is mean to reduce the intensity of traffic problem in Bangkok. The first part of this thesis is to explain the factors influencing traffic problem in Bangkok and ideas to solve the problem. The second part is to explain the existing conditions of water transport in Bangkok and ideas to improve the water transport. One of these ideas is to improve the connection point between road transport and water transport. The third part is to formulate the design guidelines for the improvement of connection points. Finally some connection points are selected to design as examples of the improvement.
