การศึกษาคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ในวรรณกรรมเรื่องผกาสรโพน

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษา, พิจารณาความหมายของคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ และเพื่อจัดหมวดหมู่คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ตามความหมายของคำวิเศษณ์หลักจากวรรณกรรมเรื่องผฺกาสฺรโพน ซึ่งเป็นวรรณกรรมเขมรเรื่องหนึ่งที่มีความโดดเด่นทางด้านการใช้ภาษา และมีการใช้คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์เพื่อสร้างความไพเราะอยู่มาก การพิจารณาหาคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ ผู้วิจัยใช้เกณฑ์ 3 เกณฑ์ คือ เกณฑ์ทางด้านโครงสร้าง หรือตำแหน่งของคำ เกณฑ์ทางด้านความหมาย และเกณฑ์ทางด้านหน้าที่ การใช้เกณฑ์หลายเกณฑ์ในงานวิจัยนี้ เนื่องจากว่า ผู้วิจัยพบปัญหาหลายปัญหาในการพิจารณาตัดสินคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ เมื่อเลือกใช้เกณฑ์ใดเกณฑ์หนึ่งเพียงเกณฑ์เดียว จากการศึกษาพบคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ในวรรณกรรมเรื่องนี้ทั้งหมด 71 คำ และสามารถจัดกลุ่มได้ 6 กลุ่ม โดยจัดกลุ่มตามความหมายของคำวิเศษณ์หลัก ดังนี้ 1. คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์บอกสีและแสง 2. คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์บอกคุณลักษณะ 3. คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์บอกสภาพ 4. คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์บอกเสียง 5. คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์บอกความรู้สึก 6. คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์อื่น ๆ เมื่อพิจารณาการปรากฏร่วมของคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์กับคำหลัก พบว่า คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์สามารถจำแนกได้เป็นสองประเภท คือ คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ที่สามารถปรากฏร่วมกับคำวิเศษณ์หลักได้หลายคำ คำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ประเภทนี้สามารถทำหน้าที่เป็นทั้งคำวิเศษณ์หลักและเป็นคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ และคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ที่มีข้อจำกัดในการปรากฎร่วมกับคำวิเศษณ์หลัก ซึ่งคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ประเภทนี้ทำหน้าที่เป็นคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ได้อย่างเดียว นอกจากนี้การศึกษาเรื่องคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ในวรรณกรรมเรื่องผฺกาสฺรโพน สะท้อนว่าตำแหน่งคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ในภาษาเขมรไม่จำเป็นต้องอยู่หลังคำหลักที่มันไปขยาย โดยตำแหน่งของคำขยายคำวิเศษณ์ในภาษาเขมรสามารถปรากฏหลังคำหลักหรือหน้าคำหลักที่มันไปขยาย

The research is aimed to study and investigate the meaning of adjective and adverb modifiers and to classify the adjective and adverb modifiers according to the meaning of main adjectives and adverbs in Phkasraphon, which is one of well-known Khmer novels. The author uses a lot of beautiful expressions, some of which are the co-occurrence of adjective or adverb and its modifier. Three criteria are used to classify them : word order or position, meaning, and function because many problems arise when only one criterion is used to choose the modifiers. The adjective and adverb modifiers, found in this novel, can be classified into 6 groups depending on the meaning of main adjective and adverb as follows : 1. Adjective and adverb modifiers of color and ray 2. Adjective and adverb modifiers of manner 3. Adjective and adverb modifiers of state 4. Adjective and adverb modifiers of sound 5. Adjective and adverb modifiers of feeling 6. Miscellaneous When adjective and adverb modifiers co-occur with main adjectives, they can be divided into 2 groups : general adjective and adverb modifiers and restricted adjective and adverb modifiers. General modifiers can occur with many main adjective or adverb and they themselves can be main adjective or main adverb. Restricted modifiers occur with some specific main adjective of adverb and they only function as adjective and adverb modifier. The result of the study has presented that adjective and adverb modifiers in the Khmer language can not only follow the main adjective and adverbs but also appear before the main adjective and adverbs.
