การศึกษาคำศัพท์ภาษาเขมรสุรินทร์ในการทอผ้าพื้นเมือง

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาคำศัพท์ภาษาเขมรสุรินทร์ที่ใช้ในงานหัตถกรรมการทอผ้าพื้นเมือง จากภาษาพูดของช่างทอผ้าที่บ้านจันรม ตำบลตาอ็อง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุรินทร์ โดยผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมคำศัพท์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับขั้นตอนการผลิตผ้าพื้นเมือง ประกอบด้วยคำนาม คำกริยา คำคุณศัพท์ คำลักษณะนาม คำบอกจำนวนนับ รวมทั้งตัวอย่างประโยคและวลีต่าง ๆ ที่แสดงตัวอย่างการใช้คำเหล่านี้ ในการศึกษารูปแบบและสีสันของผ้าพื้นเมืองนั้น ผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมลักษณะของผ้าพื้นเมือง คำศัพท์ที่ใช้เรียกชื่อผ้าและลายผ้าชนิดต่าง ๆ โดยแสดงภาพประกอบไว้เท่าที่ปรากฏในการทอผ้าในหมู่บ้านนี้ ซึ่งผลการศึกษารูปแบบของผ้าและลายผ้านั้นพบว่า ผ้าที่ผู้ชายใช้คือ ผ้าโสร่ง (sroo ) และผ้าขาวม้า (sbai) นั้นมีชื่อเรียกลายผ้าและมีลวดลายจำกัดอยู่ในรูปแบบของลายทางและลายตาราง ส่วนผ้าของผู้หญิง คือ ผ้าซิ่น (sin) นั้นได้รับการประดิษฐ์ดัดแปลงลวดลายให้มีความหลากหลายมากกว่าผ้าของผู้ชาย จึงทำให้ผ้าซิ่นมีหลายชนิดและมีชื่อเรียกลายผ้าได้อย่างไม่จำกัด ในด้านคุณค่าและประโยชน์ใช้สอยจากผ้าพื้นเมืองนั้นพบว่า ผ้าพื้นเมืองนอกจากจะมีบทบาทสำคัญในการแต่งกายแล้ว ยังเป็นเครื่องประกอบที่สำคัญในงานบุญ และงานพิธีต่าง ๆ ของท้องถิ่น และผู้วิจัยยังได้รวบรวมความเชื่อและข้อห้ามบางประการของช่างทอผ้ามาบันทึกไว้เพื่อหาความเชื่อมโยงในเหตุและผลอีกด้วย

The objective of this research is to study the Khmer vocaburary which are used during work in making weaving products. These words have been used by the people of Chanrom village which is located at the sub-district of Ta-ong, at the district of Muang in the province of Surin. The analyst had put all of the words to describe about the method of weaving that can be devided into nouns, verbs, adjectives, classifiers, numerals, including examples of sentences and phrases to demonstrate the usage of these words. The analyst also showed an example of pictures which is used to study the different styles and colors of the materials that can be found in this village. After all the studies were done it was found out that men wear Sarong (sroo ) and Sbai (sbai) which come in limited patterns, as for women, they wear Sin which comes in many patterns because there is a large variety to choose. Therefore, there are many kinds of patterns and words that are used in weaving. So, the value and usage of the clothing are used for dressing and at special occasions. The analyst also compiled about the beliefs and the taboos of the weavers.
