โลกอ้วน

Abstract

ถ้ามองย้อนไปในประวัติศาสตร์ว่าด้วยรูปลักษณ์ของคนแต่ละยุคเราจะเห็นความงามในอุดมคติมักถูกปรับเปลี่ยนไปเสมอ ถ้าเป็นสมัยก่อนความอ้วนหมายถึงความอุดมสมบูรณ์เป็นที่ยอมรับ แต่ในปัจจุบันคนอ้วนไม่ถูกยอมรับเหมือนสมัยก่อนโดยจะเห็นได้จากคนอ้วนมักถูกนำเสนอในเชิงตลกขบขันอยู่ตลอดเวลา แต่จริงแล้วคนอ้วนมีแง่มุมที่ลึกซึ้งไปกว่านั้น และมีความน่ารักในแบบของตัวเอง ดังนั้น จึงนำไปสู่ประเด็นที่ข้าพเจ้าต้องการนำเสนอประเด็นเรื่องของคนอ้วน ให้กลับมามองว่าคนอ้วนก็มีความน่ารัก มีชีวิตประจำวันที่เหมือนคนปกติ จึงต้องการนำเสนอในรูปแบบของประติมากรรมที่ผ่านทัศนคติที่ดีที่ทั้งกายภาพที่มองเห็นอย่างเช่น พื้นผิวที่เรียบเนียน รวมกับกายภาพที่มองไม่เห็นอย่างเช่น ความสมดุล ที่สามารถอธิบายถึงทัศนคติที่ดีของความอ้วน ที่ไม่ได้ถูกนำเสนอออกมา

Looking back into history, the ideal of beauty changes with time, which in the past a fat figure is the symbol of a fertile body, but contrastingly, in the modern time, fat people are portrayed in a joking manner and are not ideally accepted. However, there are more aspects to fat people, and has an appeal in their own way, such as cuteness, therefore through this art thesis the artist wants to portray the cute aspects of fat people and to make people understand that they also live the same life as others. He presents it through sculptures that has a fat appearance, but showing the hidden qualities such as balance and the smooth surface.
