Abstract

เหล็ก เป็นวัตถุที่แข็งแรงทนทาน ยากต่อการทำลาย การย่อยสลายของเหล็กตามธรรมชาตินั้นต้องใช้ช่วงเวลายาวนาน ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าสนใจในกานแปรเปลี่ยน การใช้งานและกาลเวลาทำให้เกิดการกัดกร่อนและย่อยสลายไป สิ่งที่นับเป็นกฎเกณฑ์ของธรรมชาติได้ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าเล็งเห็นถึงการเสื่อมสลาย ไม่มีสิ่งใดยั่งยืน ไม่มีสิ่งใดไม่หมดไป การเวลาเป็นสิ่งที่หลีกหนีไม่ได้ ข้าพเจ้าได้สังเกตและคิดค้นทดลองกระบวนการทางเคมี เพื่อควบคุมและจำกัดการเกิดสนามบนพื้นผิวเหล็ก โดยกำหนด สี พื้นผิว รูปแบบการกัดกร่อนของสนิม เพื่อนำมาสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะ การกำหนดรูปทรงของระนาบเหล็กผ่าน วงกล สี่เหลี่ยม สามเหลี่ยม ที่เรียบง่าย โดยเชื่อมโยงกับธรรมชาติ ที่ใช้ตีความเป็นตัวแทนสัญลักษณ์ต่างๆ สื่อถึงอารมณ์ ความเชื่อ เช่น วงกลมจากดวงอาทิตย์ ดวงจันทร์ สื่อถึงความอุดมสมบรูณ์ ไม่มีสิ้นสุด

Metal is a very strong and durable material, and for it to decompose naturally it takes a long time, which makes the artist interested in how it changes state, and corrodes and disappears throughout time. It is the rule of nature that everything will not last forever and it is unavoidable. The artist had observed and experimented with chemicals to control the corrosion of metal, by controlling the color, texture and form of corrosion to create into an artwork. Geometric shapes like, circle, square, triangle is used as the shape of metal sheets, which the forms has its symbol portraying emotions and beliefs, such as, circle form of the sun or moon symbolizing perfection and endlessness.
