การคงรูปลักษณ์เยาว์วัยที่ปรากฏในงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย

Abstract

การวิจัยฉบับนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative research) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา การคงรูปลักษณ์เยาว์วัยในศิลปะร่วมสมัย โดยเลือกศึกษาจากผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยที่ปรากฏการคง รูปลักษณ์เยาว์วัยของศิลปินไทยและศิลปินญี่ปุ่นรวม 10 ท่าน ประกอบกับการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (in-depth interview) ลักษณะการคงรูปลักษณ์เยาว์วัยที่ปรากฏในศิลปะร่วมสมัย รูปแบบที่แสดงออกมาทาง กายภาพของรูปแบบซึ่งประกอบด้วย ศีรษะขนาดใหญ่เมื่อเทียบกับสัดส่วนของร่างกาย ดวงตาโต ปาก จมูกขนาดเล็ก และผิวที่นุ่มนวล เพื่อสร้างความสนใจจากผู้ชมได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เนื่องจาก ลักษณะดังกล่าว สามารถกระตุ้นความรู้สึกความรู้สึกชื่นชอบของมนุษย์ได้โดยตรง นอกจากนี้การคง รูปลักษณ์เยาว์วัยดังกล่าวยังเข้ามามีผลต่อการสื่อสารเนื้อหาของผลงาน จากลักษณะโดยรวมที่มี ดวงตาขนาดใหญ่ ทาให้ง่ายต่อการสื่อสารทางอารมณ์ อีกทั้งในกรณีของผลงานที่นาเสนอเนื้อหาที่มี ความสะเทือนอารมณ์ หรือประเด็นที่ละเอียดอ่อน การคงรูปลักษณ์เยาว์วัยยังสามารถลดทอนความ รุนแรงของเนื้อหาลักษณะนี้ลงได้

This qualitative research is aimed to study contemporary art which uses the factor of remaining in the young appearance. This study of ‘young appearance’ is studied through the artworks of the chosen 10 Thai and Japanese artists, including an in-depth interview. In contemporary art, remaining in the young appearance is shown physically through the use of big head compared to the body proportion, big eyes, small mouth and nose, and smooth skin. These features effectively stimulates human’s likings directly, which this remaining of young appearance also affects the context of the artwork. Having large eyes, it can easily communicate emotions, and more importantly, in artworks with strong, violent or delicate topics, the young appearance helps reduce the violence.
