รามเกียรติ์ : รูปแบบในงานประเพณีและร่วมสมัย

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบรูปแบบของงานทัศนศิลป์แบบประเพณี และงานแบบร่วมสมัย ว่าได้รับอิทธิพลต่อกันอย่างไร และเพื่อการศึกษาว่านอกเหนือจากรูปแบบงานศิลปะแบบไทยประเพณีแล้ว อิทธิพลอื่น ๆ เช่น ความเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคม อิทธิพลงานศิลปะจากตะวันตก ประสบการณ์ของศิลปิน แนวความคิดแบบใหม่ งานศิลปะต่างสาขา ฯลฯ มีผลต่องานศิลปะร่วมสมัยอย่างไร วิธีการในการศึกษาจะดำเนินการตั้งแต่การศึกษางานรามเกียรติ์แบบประเพณีทั้งนาฏศิลป์และทัศนศิลป์เพื่อหาข้อมูลเบื้องต้นในการวิจัย หลังจากนั้นจะทำการสำรวจงานจิตรกรรมแบบร่วมสมัย ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับรามเกียรติ์ ทั้งทางนาฏศิลป์ จิตรกรรมและพานิชยศิลป์ นำมาจัดกลุ่มตามรูปแบบ เนื้อหาที่นำเสนอ ทั้งนี้จะมีการคัดเลือกงานที่เป็นตัวอย่าง นำมาศึกษาอิทธิพลของงานแบบประเพณีที่มีผลต่อการสร้างสรรค์งาน และเปรียบเทียบทั้งส่วนที่เหมือนและส่วนต่าง แล้วจึงทำการวิเคราะห์หาปัจจัยอันเป็นเหตุและเป็นผล ที่ทำให้เกิดการสร้างงานในลักษณะนั้น พร้อมทั้งศึกษาปัจจัยอื่น ๆ นอกเหนือจากอิทธิพลจากงานแบบประเพณี เช่น ภูมิหลังของศิลปิน การศึกษา ผลงานที่เคยมีมาก่อนหน้า อิทธิพลจากศิลปินอื่น ๆ นำมาสรุปประเด็นที่ได้จากการศึกษา ผลที่ได้จากการศึกษาพบว่า 1. อิทธิพลของงานจากการข้ามประเภท เช่น อิทธิพลของนาฏศิลป์ต่องานจิตรกรรม หรือ งานจิตรกรรมต่องานนาฏศิลป์ ยังคงมีอยู่ ทั้งในงานแบบประเพณีและร่วมสมัย แต่ในงานร่วมสมัยที่เป็นทัศนศิลป์ การได้รับอิทธิพลจากนาฏศิลป์จะน้อยกว่าแบบประเพณี 2. เทคนิคในการสร้างงานของงานแบบร่วมสมัยมีมากกว่าแบบประเพณี ซึ่งช่วยลดข้อจำกัดทางเทคนิคและเปิดโอกาสให้ศิลปินสร้างสรรค์งานอย่างที่ต้องการได้มาก 3. ประสบการณ์และรูปแบบเฉพาะของผู้สร้างงาน ความประทับใจจากอดีต ประสบการณ์และความคิดส่วนบุคคล มีผลมากต่องานแบบร่วมสมัยในขณะที่งานแบบประเพณีนั้นจะหาลักษณะเฉพาะ (style) ของผู้สร้างงานได้ไม่ชัดเจนเท่ากับแบบร่วมสมัย 4. วัตถุประสงค์ของการสร้างงานในรูปแบบประเพณี สร้างเพื่อรับใช้ระบบกษัตริย์หรือ ศาสนาในขณะที่งานแบบร่วมสมัยทำเพื่อการตอนสนองของตัวศิลปิน หรือจากวัตถุประสงค์เชิงพานิชย์ 5. เรื่องราวที่แสดงออกในงานแบบประเพณี มีการเล่าเรื่องตามท้องเรื่องที่ถูกประพันธ์ขึ้นในราชสำนัก ส่วนงานแบบร่วมสมัย พบว่าดำเนินเรื่องแตกต่างจากงานแบบประเพณีหลายระดับ เช่น ไม่เปลี่ยนเรื่องราว แต่แสดงออกในมุมมองอื่นหรือสลับเรื่องราวให้มีลำดับเปลี่ยนแปลงไป หรือละทิ้งเรื่องราวเดิม นำงานมาสร้างสรรค์ให้เกิดเรื่องราวใหม่ หรือผิดเพี้ยนจากเรื่องราวเดิมเนื่องจากผู้สร้างงานมีความเข้าใจผิด 6. อิทธิพลของงานศิลปะจากชาติต่าง ๆ รามเกียรติ์แบบประเพณีนั้นได้รับอิทธิพลจากอินเดียและขอม ส่วนงานแบบร่วมสมัย จะมีอิทธิพลจากหลากหลายเชื้อชาติเข้ามาผสมผสานโดยเฉพาะแบบตะวันตก แต่ก็ยังมีอิทธิพลของศิลปะแบบประเพณีมาเกี่ยวข้องเสมอ

The purpose of the report is to compare traditional and contemporary style (focusing of Visual Art) and to study influence of each other. The research also cover the other factors that effect to the attribute of contemporary style such as social change, western art, artist background, modern concept, other type of art and etc. Mythology of this report starting from studying traditional Ramayana in performance and visual art to find basic information of the research. Then, the research would be about contemporary visual art of Ramayana in type of performance art, visual art and also commercial art. After that, case study of contemporary visual art will be selected to consider the issue of traditional influence, the sameness and difference of them as well as any other factors that influence these works such as artist background, education of the artist, and influence from other artists. The conclusions of this research are : 1. Influence from other type of art. Which are : From performance art to visual art and from visual art to performance art, are still exist in contemporary art but in contemporary visual art, influence from performance art is lesser than we found in traditional art. 2. There are so much more illustration technique in contemporary art which release the limitation of process and offer new opportunity to artist to create their work as their own need. 3. In contemporary art : Background of artist, personal style, impression from the past and personal attitude makes strong impact to their works. Contrary to traditional art : Unique style of each artist founded are not significant factors. 4. Proposes of creation on traditional works are supporting monarchy or religion system. Comparing to contemporary work, the artist of which create their work to satisfy their need or their identity or some are commercial proposes. 5. Stories appear on traditional works completely followed the original composed in the royal court. Contemporary works may change the story in various way for and example : using the original story but change the sequence of it, Maintain the main original story and adapt some details to. 6. Influence of outside cultures effected Thai traditional Ramayana are form India and Khmer. In contemporary Ramayana, some more influences form many more origins. Especially, from western culture. But artists of contemporary Ramayana always keep some identity of the traditional Ramayana in their works.
